Audience and stage of last show: Shop ‘Til You Drop—Dead!
About the play:
The hit TV game show “Stop, Shop, and Bankroll” has come to your town to tape a few segments, bringing its dashing host, Benny Sharpe, and lovely hostess, Loreli Lawless. As usual, director Astrid Cornelius is wound up and worried about her temperamental stars. Tommy Gilmore, the show’s announcer, tries to help smooth the troubled waters, but between Loreli’s new feather dress and Benny’s vanity, trouble is guaranteed. During the shopping part of the game, Benny cashes in his chips — poisoned by person or persons unknown! Miss Peabody, the cookies-and-cream librarian who’s no stranger to murder, takes control and attempts to keep order until the police arrive. But Astrid sees a new opportunity for a TV game show - solving the crime with cameras rolling!
Dress up as a wacky game show contestant, and you may be one of three audience members chosen to participate in the shopping on stage!
The event includes a train ride out to (and back from) Willow depot, a delectable catered meal served in a dinner tent, and, of course the who-done-it mystery. People come from all over the state to see the show and this quickly becomes a sold out event, so don’t wait too long to reserve your spot!
Life isn’t always black or white, wrong or right—except when it comes to murder! Florida Railroad Museum is happy to partner with Parrish Playworks to present their ever-popular mystery train (postponed from last year because of COVID protocols). Ride the rails out to Willow depot and enjoy a delectable dinner while you help solve who-done-it.
Murder in Black & White is a funny crime caper wherein an “innocent audience member” is targeted for murder and three others have close calls. All have only one thing in common—the name of Ann White. Will the detective who takes command of the investigation figure out which is the real victim, and which is the assassin?
Prizes were awarded at each show for the guests "Best Dressed" in black and white attire, and for those who turned in the best or worst guesses to solve the crime. The show opened on Friday, February 11th and performances continued through March 6, 2022. Group prices were available, and passengers brought their friends and families to be seated at their own dinner table. Call FRRM at 941-776-0906 for details.
Murder in Black & White was produced by special arrangement with Mysteries by Moushey.
From left to right on train is Charlie Magee and Jay Wright; on ground is Debbie Davidson, Haley Magee, Tami Vaughan
